The Cybersonica Archive

Cybersonica is dead, long live Cybersonica!

Cybersonica was launched in June 2002 at the Institute of Contemporary Arts (ICA). During the subsequent 8+ years and until early 2011 it delivered an increasingly diverse annual programme of festival iterations, projects and one-off-events at multiple venues and with numerous collaborators around the UK.

This is the gateway to the Cybersonica archive – a collation of festival websites from 2002-2010 as well as standalone websites developed for specific projects.

It’s intended for archival purposes only – to maintain Cybersonica‘s presence on the World Wide Web and access to its varied programming and substantial rosta of contributing artists. It’s more than likely that featured Web links and email addresses are no longer active.

It’s also a ‘work in progress’ – a slow trawl through almost a decade of outdated PHP, broken WordPress themes and messy MYSQL databases. In some cases the original styling has been lost – though the content is as it was.
