It\u2019s been a while coming\u2026 but we\u2019ve finally launched the Cybersonica 08<\/em> website and are announcing our programme for 2008 and beyond. We’ve devised an exciting range of projects and events that show Cybersonica<\/em> continuing to evolve – shifting focus, reprioritising established strands and extending its range of activities.<\/h4>\n

In October 2008<\/strong> we’re relaunching Cybersonica Social<\/a><\/em> (formerly \u00c7onic Social<\/em>) – our monthly slice of Cybersonica<\/em> at a new venue – The Flea-Pit<\/a>, 49 Columbia Road, E2 7RG – the second Thursday of every month, 7-11pm. More details of line-ups ’til Jan ’09 to be announced on the website very soon.<\/p>\n

On Friday, 31st October 2008<\/strong>, 6-30-10pm, Cybersonica<\/em>, Cybersalon<\/em> and Class War Games<\/em> host the Cold War Modern<\/a>\u00a0Friday Late at the V&A<\/strong>. An outline programme will be announced here shortly.<\/p>\n

Between 2-9th November 2008<\/strong> we’re running the Cybersonica AV Lab<\/a><\/em> – a week-long residential creative & practical workshop exploring sound, moving image, art and technology based at The Basement<\/a>, Brighton and supported by the National Lottery through the Arts Council England. More details and our ‘Call For Participation’ can be found at the website.<\/p>\n

Starting on Saturday, 22nd November 2008<\/strong> at De La Warr Pavilion<\/a>, Bexhill on Sea and culminating in a large scale event at the BFI Southbank<\/a> in late Spring 2009, Cybersonica<\/em> will once again be resident on the Future of Sound<\/a> <\/em>(FOS) 08\/09 Tour<\/strong> to six arts and campus venues throughout the UK. Full details to be announced shortly here and at the FOS website.<\/p>\n

Plus we’re taking part in a range of one-off events, showcases of Cybersonica<\/em> artworks and collaborations with friends and associates including: (re)Actor3 & This Is LIVErpool<\/a><\/em><\/strong> showcase at the Contemporary Urban Centre North West on 3rd September 2008, 7pm-12 midnight; the Martyn Ware & Friends<\/strong><\/em> lunchtime talk between 12.30-1.30pm at D3<\/a> (Digital Design Day) – part of the London Design Festival – at the Queen Elizabeth Hall Foyer on Wednesday, 17th September 2008, 11am-6pm; and with Kinetica Museum<\/a><\/em> at Spitalfields Opens Up<\/strong><\/em> on Sunday, 28th September 2008, from 11pm.<\/td>\n
