![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | It’s been a while coming… but we’ve finally launched the Cybersonica 08 website and are announcing our programme for 2008 and beyond. We’ve devised an exciting range of projects and events that show Cybersonica continuing to evolve – shifting focus, reprioritising established strands and extending its range of activities.In October 2008 we’re relaunching Cybersonica Social (formerly Çonic Social) – our monthly slice of Cybersonica at a new venue – The Flea-Pit, 49 Columbia Road, E2 7RG – the second Thursday of every month, 7-11pm. More details of line-ups ’til Jan ’09 to be announced on the website very soon. On Friday, 31st October 2008, 6-30-10pm, Cybersonica, Cybersalon and Class War Games host the Cold War Modern Friday Late at the V&A. An outline programme will be announced here shortly. Between 2-9th November 2008 we’re running the Cybersonica AV Lab – a week-long residential creative & practical workshop exploring sound, moving image, art and technology based at The Basement, Brighton and supported by the National Lottery through the Arts Council England. Starting on Saturday, 22nd November 2008 at De La Warr Pavilion, Bexhill on Sea and culminating in a large scale event at the BFI Southbank in late Spring 2009, Cybersonica will once again be resident on the Future of Sound (FOS) 08/09 Tour to six arts and campus venues throughout the UK. Full details to be announced shortly here and at the FOS website. Plus we’re taking part in a range of one-off events, showcases of Cybersonica artworks and collaborations with friends and associates including: (re)Actor3 & This Is LIVErpool showcase at the Contemporary Urban Centre North West on 3rd September 2008, 7pm-12 midnight; the Martyn Ware & Friends lunchtime talk between 12.30-1.30pm at D3 (Digital Design Day) – part of the London Design Festival – at the Queen Elizabeth Hall Foyer on Wednesday, 17th September 2008, 11am-6pm; and with Kinetica Museum at Spitalfields Opens Up on Sunday, 28th September 2008, from 11pm. |
